As a Quality Foundations Team Lead, you help build and guide a new developer tools team composed of talented and inspired team members who develop technologies needed to create tools for the games that Ubisoft fans have come to expect. Your technological
- how, leadership skills, and ability to make informed decisions will help you fulfill your ambitions. Your work will be filled with passion and pride.

- being, acting as their spokesperson in meetings with other teams and management, and ensuring that each person is in a position that stimulates them and lets them shine.

Your global vision and deep understanding of what everyone does on your team will allow you to coordinate the work and multiply the results of everyone’s efforts. What motivates you the most is to see your team grow and deliver quality, consistent systems that will help provide the rich gaming experience our players are looking for. You will capitalize on your presence in a Ubisoft studio with a strong QC expertise to foster close feedback loops with local game testing experts representing the target audience of your project. You will also foster collaboration between your team and the other teams within your organization located in France and Canada.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in the recruitment process of the team you will be leading

Plan, distribute tasks, and follow up on the progress of various projects during team meetings.

Provide your team with the tools they need to work independently and contribute to the
- term technological vision of the projects.

Meet individually with each member of your team to discuss performance,
- being, and career advancement.

Rollout best development standards and practices (e. g.
- based development, inner source, CICD, devops) in your team aligned with the group’s guidelines and architects

Take part in the development team responsibilities: design, code, review, test, documentation, support

Communicate regularly with your project lead to plan, assess risks, and deliver on time

Meet with other leads, both on your project and others, to discuss ways to improve processes and share technologies

Qualifications

What You Bring

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or an equivalent field

Professional experience managing a team of programmers

Solid experience in programming (C#, . Net, Blazor)

Experience and knowledge of Agile frameworks (especially Kanban or Scrum)

Strong organizational skills

Excellent communication and strategic leadership skills coupled with strong empathy and diplomacy

The ability to remain calm in difficult situations

Knowledge of UX and UI principles is a plus

Experience and understanding of video game production and game quality engineering is a plus
