Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Technical Business Analyst to join the Data & Analytics team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments, enjoys collaborating across multiple stakeholder groups, and possesses the right balance of technical, analytical, and

The successful candidate will help shape and deliver a strategic roadmap that enhances the organisations analytics capabilities and drives
- service adoption across business teams. You will serve as the key link between business users, data analytics teams, and technical delivery teamstranslating business needs into clear technical documentation that underpins successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities Cross-Functional Collaboration

Build and maintain productive relationships with IT delivery teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.

Act as the communication bridge between business users, data specialists, and technology teams.
Analytics Platform Development
-
Support the growth and maturity of the organisations Analytics Data Platform, products, and solutions.

Manage and maintain a prioritised pipeline of new demand items, features, and enhancements.
-
Lead activities across the full project lifecycle, from ideation to release.
Workshops, Requirements & Documentation
-
Prepare and deliver content for workshops, presentations, and seminarstailored to both technical and
- technical audiences.
-
Facilitate meetings with stakeholders of all levels to elicit, clarify, and translate business requirements into functional and
- functional specifications.
-
Generate clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and structured documentation.
-
Support business case development, including effort estimation processes and templates.
-
Produce the necessary technical documentation to secure governance approvals and support implementation.
Quality Assurance & Delivery Support

Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure solutions meet the documented business requirements.

Participate in testing, quality checks, and release validation.
-
Serve as the ongoing link between product owners and Data & Analytics teams throughout the SDLC.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation

Identify improvement opportunities and feed them into the development pipeline.

Contribute to

- technology (POT), and prototype initiatives.

Promote
- service adoption and support business users in becoming more
- enabled.

Provide mentorship, coaching, and thought leadership within the team.
Essential Skills & Expertise -
Bachelors degree in data science, computer science, business analysis, or similar field.

Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role in a relevant industry.

Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
-
Solid experience with business analysis techniques, requirements gathering, and documentation.
-
Hands-on experience querying and manipulating large datasets using SQL, Python, and Excel.
-
Ability to analyse and document complex business processes, especially those involving data.
-
Experience working within Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
-
Knowledge of
- practice tools and techniques for requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation.
-
Experience working on Data Analytics projects.
Desirable Skills & Experience -
Experience in the utilities sector.

Exposure to
- based data warehouses, data lakes, and related cloud technologies.

Hands-on experience with Tableau or similar visualisation tools.

Familiarity with AI / ML technologies.

Prior experience mentoring or coaching others.

Understanding of data security and privacy standards.

AWS certifications (Data Analytics, Solutions Architect, Dev
Ops) or similaran advantage
