Summary

Within the Customer Services and Delivery (CS&D) board area, the mission of the Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) organization is to run and operate SAP’s private cloud offering. Isolated private cloud landscapes are built for customers both in SAP owned datacenter as well as on Iaa
S infrastructure provided by Hyper-Scalers like Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services (AWS). ECS delivered services include backups, patching, provisioning and upgrades, restore and disaster recovery, infrastructure monitoring and event detection. Services are delivered from all regions (EMEA/AMER/APJ) having a strong international focus and cultural diversity.

As part of ECS Delivery, the Application Technical Area is supporting our operational teams to reduce outages and operational effort as well as to increase customer satisfaction. The team is the interface to product support and product engineering for various SAP and
- SAP solutions and driving projects such as improving monitoring and tool integration, Admin Access Management, providing guidance on release strategy, extending knowledge transfer into distributed operations teams as well as running various inhouse tools.

The Role

As a Technology Consultant, you will analyze customer’s business requirements or technical problem statements and act as a technical advisor and problem solver to clients and our internal stakeholders. This includes different technical tasks (hands-on execution based on tickets and advisory) out of the following areas: technical configuration & integration of SAP software, release upgrades, application lifecycle management as well as day to day operations and maintenance of technical SAP landscapes. In addition, you will also work on changing our system setup/configuration guidelines, validating new application, designing work instructions or drive automation initiatives. You will also focus on designing and conducting knowledge transfer to the global Operations community and create technical documentation, incl. technical operational concepts, process flows and guidelines.
