A Snapshot of Your Day

As a UI/UX lead you will be supporting the SPD department to provide subject matter expertise to our team and the broader organization on the latest/greatest approaches and tools for UX/UI design.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Set and own UX strategy: You develop the strategic plans for our application platform (OAP) — helping to connect the company’s brand identity of OAP with the desired user experience. This could entail building strategic UX artifacts like user journeys and personas down to wireframes and prototypes for platform feature enhancements

Align with the Platform owner: work closely with Platform Owner to lead this collaboration.

Design and development of UI/UX for customer facing digital applications.

Design and develop user centric designs from wireframes to high definition/resolution sketch prototype,

Design and deliver visual guidelines for other designers/developers for multiple,
- purpose and interoperable (multi-device) screens.

Generate markups and styles for our standard Frontend Frameworks React, Ember and Flutter for client applications and addons.

Train & Support developers and other designers to apply and integrate design standards and guidelines on day to day development of applications

Follow coding and naming standards of Siemens Energy

Coordinate design guideline developments with Brandville

Maintain Bootstrap theme

Validate implementation for design compliance

What You Bring

Master’s / bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar with a minimum 8 years of experience in the field of Software Development and Architecture.

Deliver rapidly in a reliable manner with the highest quality standards

Curious, passionate about problem solving, building and
- improving

Experience in Agile development

Fluent English Skills

Experience working in and with international teams and stakeholders with different cultures

Technical Skills

Be an expert on all aspects of UX research and design including:

Information architecture: Organizing pages and information within a website or app so that it is navigable and accessible

Prototypes: Building simplified versions of a working feature or product to investigate problems and validate solutions

Research: Collecting and analyzing inputs such as behavioral data and customer feedback

Testing: Examining whether solutions are working as intended

Visual design: Understanding how elements like colors, font, images, and layout impact user experience

Wireframes: Designing blueprints that demonstrate how a solution works before displaying how it will look

experience with Figma / Bootstrap

experience with Design Systems

experience with CSS frameworks (Bootstrap, Foundation, . . . )

experience with theming CSS frameworks
