Vendor Sourcing Specialist

As an Market Analyst you will own the sourcing pipeline for subcontractors/vendors supporting telecom/utility construction (OSP/fiber, wireless, power). You’ll identify, qualify, negotiate, and onboard vendors; align rate cards and capabilities to market demand; and maintain compliant,
- ready partners across regions.
Responsabilities:
Lead Validation & Pipeline Management
- Regularly revalidate existing vendor leads to ensure they are active, licensed, and viable.
- Conduct outreach to confirm interest and update statuses; escalate inactive or invalid entries for removal.
- Maintain clean and accurate vendor lists (company data, contacts, licenses, COIs, agreements).
Rates & Pricing Analysis
- Build and maintain Area Rate databases by state/county using verified and defensible data sources.
- Analyze inputs such as: historical rate cards, awarded bids, paid invoices (GPM), vendor quotes, market benchmarks, and productivity standards (e. g. , ft/day, crew mix).
- Identify market risks and opportunities by comparing benchmarks, variances, and pricing sensitivities.
Reporting & Decision Support
- Publish weekly dashboards: market heatmaps, coverage gaps, crew/drill availability, lead health, rate benchmarks.
- Partner with Sourcing to prioritize outreach; with Ops to forecast fill rates and mobilization readiness; with Finance on pricing impacts.
- Document assumptions and methodologies for transparency and repeatability.
Requirements
- Experience: 3–5+ years in market, operations, or pricing analysis (telecom, OSP, utilities, or construction preferred).
- Technical Proficiency: Strong Excel and Power BI skills; comfortable working with large and complex datasets.
- Tools Familiarity: Experience with Share
Point and Smartsheet; bonus points for exposure to GPM/HCSS environments and Power Automate. - Communication: Excellent written communication skills; ability to craft concise executive summaries and maintain disciplined documentation.
