Role Overview
Be part of an exciting team that deals with
- edge information security attacks, malware infections, and incident response situations on a daily basis. Protecting our clients from threat actors attempting to compromise their environments.
Working as a
Cyber Security analysts in asecurity operations center environment with other security and networking professionals, you will extend your currently existing network and endpoint security investigation analysis skillset through identification, assessment, review and authoring of incident reports in a variety of client environments. You will actively investigate threat actor activity, malware infections, living off the land attacks, as well as a variety of other security incidents and provide clients with the impact of the threat, your assessment of the incident, as well as recommendations.
Role Responsibilities
In this position you will be responsible for monitoring and investigating IT security alerts, determining the source of the threat, the extent to which client assets have been compromised and making recommendations for remediation.
Perform analysis of security events from multiple sources including but not limited to events from endpoint detection tools, network and
- based IDS, firewall logs, system logs (Unix & Windows), mainframes,
- range, applications, and databases.
Interface with clients via chat, tickets, phone calls to address their issues, concerns, and questions, and drive to satisfactory closure any issues that impact the service and its value
Requirements
Experience, Skills and Abilities
Experience:
Previous experience in raw log files review, data correlation, and analysis (e. g. , firewalls logs, network flows, intrusion detection systems, system logs).
Awareness of Information Security concepts (malware, emerging threats, attacks, and vulnerability management).
Previous customer support experience including the resolution of customer escalations, incident handling and reporting
Skills and/or abilities required to perform the essential functions of the job
Good technical communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent
- solving skills that would allow for the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
Client-focused with a passion for delivering service excellence
Sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure
Possess high standard of integrity and confidentiality
Education/Experience
1-3 years of work experience in Experience in adjacent areas (Security Operations Center, Network Operations Center, System Administrator, Platform/Tool Support Engineer, IT Helpdesk support).
Preferred Certifications
One or more
Industry certification from vendors such as: ISC2, GIAC, EC-Council, Cisco, Juniper, Comp
TIA, ITIL, Unix, Microsoft, Oracle, etc.
Language
English - Very strong verbal and written skills
Work schedule
working in 12 hrs. shifts (day/night) or 10 hrs. shifts
