Worldpay’s New Acquiring Platform (NAP) specialise in delivering online payment services to our customers and we are looking for Engineers to join our team to take it to the next level. NAP is unique in the world and puts us firmly beyond what the competition can deliver.
What you will be doing
As part of an Agile team you’ll contribute and support the team to deliver its commitments on a predictable way according to the SAFe definition and with the expected quality.
- Performs design reviews, provides input and estimates effort required for implementation
- Design and develop applications that are used by Worldpay teams to process transactions
- Design and migrate legacy applications from On-premise infrastructure to the cloud
- Ensure proper product quality by providing adequate unit tests, performance benchmarking, documentation, and training material for the developed feature
- Collaborate with developers, quality assurance analysts and business stakeholders to ensure systems integrity
- Provide production support
- Ensure software maintenance
What you bring:
- Can-do attitude and a sense of responsibility for the wider implications of software engineering and demonstrate a flexible approach necessary for the role as business requirements and their relative priorities are subject to review and change
- Excellent knowledge of Java programming language
- Familiarity with fundamental
- end languages (HTML, CSS, Java
Script, Type
Script) and framework (Angular) - Exhibit high levels of ownership, ability to think from the perspective of a customer of our products and optimise for them
- Ability to develop application on the Cloud
- Practice good coding techniques (reusability of code, code optimized for performance, etc. )
- Attention to details and creative mindset
- Awareness of Test-Driven Development and the ability to practice the same
- Working experience with different RDBMS (any of Oracle, MS SQL Server, others), SQL language and different Java application servers
- Strong knowledge of unit testing, build and deployment processes
- Familiar with the standard software design patterns, web application and web services architectures
- Devops mindset. Willingness to own the full life cycle from Development, Testing, Deployment and Operations
Added bonus if you have:
- Experience with building containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes, Open Shift)
- Messaging – JMS based or Kafka
- Micro Services Architecture
- Software Design Patterns
