Job role
The Global Head of HR Shared Services is responsible for leading and overseeing the HR shared services function across multiple regions. This role ensures the efficient delivery of HR services, focusing on HR operations, Learning & Development, and Recruiting, while payroll is out of scope. The incumbent will drive standardization, process optimization, and digital transformation to enhance employee experience and operational efficiency. A key focus of This role is rolling out harmonized processes across all shared service locations. The current footprint of the global HR shared services is in three key locations—India, Romania, and Mauritius—with plans for further expansion. The function supports Allianz entities worldwide, serving over 150, 000 employees in more than 70 countries, with a team
of over 200 top HR experts.
What you will do
- Develop and execute the strategy for HR shared services, aligning with the overall HR and business strategy.
- Lead a global team responsible for all HR Shared services with key focus areas such as HR operations, Learning & Development, and Recruiting, ensuring
- quality service delivery and process excellence. - Drive process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with local, regional, and global employment laws, policies, and best practices.
- Partner with HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence, and other key stakeholders to deliver consistent and
- impact HR services. - Manage relationships with
- party vendors and service providers, ensuring
- effective and
- quality service delivery. - Implement and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of HR shared services.
- Foster a culture of
- centricity, innovation, and operational excellence within the HR shared services function. - Lead change management efforts related to HR transformation and system implementations.
- Ensure the successful rollout of harmonized HR processes across all shared service locations, driving global consistency and efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a global team of learning professionals, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and excellence in learning delivery.
- Budget Oversight: Manage the department budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize impact and return on investment.
- Coordinate Service areas: Coordinate Service areas and Service Owner in HRS establishing an open communication channel, oversee and manage utilization of team members and support global and local teams with HR related topics.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in HR shared services, operations, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience managing global HR operations, including Learning & Development and Recruiting, with payroll explicitly out of scope.
- Strong knowledge of HR technology, including HRIS, case management tools, and automation solutions.
- Experience in driving digital transformation and process improvement within HR functions.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to engage and inspire global teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

- making. - Experience working in a multinational, matrixed environment with diverse cultural dynamics demonstrating cultural sensitivity and adaptability
You have
- Experience with SAP Success
Factors, or other enterprise HR systems. - Certification in HR, project management, or process improvement methodologies (e. g. , SHRM, PMP, Lean Six Sigma).
- Previous experience leading HR shared services in a large, complex organization.
